If the U.S. signs the Copenhagen Climate Treaty, and the U.S. Senate ratifies it, it becomes law. After that, our courts system will be used to enforce the protocols. Environmental groups could use the courts to bring litigation against individuals or companies.

A123 Systems (AONE), HEV and BYD are stocks that deal with green tech, specifically, electric cars. For example, the new IPO, A123 Systems, recieved $500,000,000 from the DOE to research electric batteries for the new cars and build a plant in Michigan to suppy the Big-3 and others.

Imagine viewing a picture of Los Angeles from this year in just one decade and having to remember the smog we breathed and looked through for years. This can happen if electric cars take hold. The government is already working with companies that trade on the exchanges such as A123 Systems (AONE), and also HEV and BYD. A123 Systems recently went public with an IPO and has been rising in the days leading to the Copenhagen meetings.
